Our traditional chalet guesthouse is rich in history and character. It is with great care and diligence that we both preserve the charm of this ancient building and combine it with modern comforts. Our guests feel completely at home in its warm, authentic atmosphere. The eight hotel rooms are elementary and cosy, furnished with loving attention to detail—ideal for relaxing after an eventful day and resting while admiring the fantastic view of the Bernese Alps.
Double room – Forest View
These cosy double rooms located directly under the roof are ideal for guests who appreciate both an attractive cost-performance ratio and functional simplicity. Perfect for a short stay, these functional, but homely rooms provide space for up to two people in an area of 9.5 m². The rooms face either the forest or the street; soundproof windows ensure a peaceful night's sleep. The rooms feature a cosy queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm), a washbasin, a flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. The shared bathroom with shower/WC on the same floor is shared by a total of two double rooms.
Double room – Alpine Dairy Farm (Sennenblick)
This small, functionally, but cosy furnished double room is ideal for guests who have booked a relatively short stay with us, do not require much space, but value having their own bathroom. The room faces the forest and street and offers full view of a typical alpine dairy farm—hence the name. Soundproof windows ensure an undisturbed night's sleep, and with a floor space of 11 m² and a comfortable queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm), there is enough space for up to two people. The room provides a shower/WC, a flat-screen TV, and free WiFi.
Double room Alpine View (Alpenblick)
Our Alpine View double rooms, measuring 16–20 m² and featuring a spacious twin bed (180 x 200 cm), are ideal for two people. The rooms face the valley and offer impressive, unobstructed views of the Bernese Oberland Alps—a wonderful panorama for sweet dreams and a peaceful awakening. These rooms provide a shower/WC, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi, making them ideal for guests who opt for a little more comfort and a magnificent view.
Kulm Maisonette
The ideal family room: with 24 m² extended over two levels, this room is large enough for up to 4 individuals. In addition to a twin bed (180 x 200 cm) in the main area, the room has an additional queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm) on a small gallery, which is accessible via a narrow staircase and is a perfect retreat for children or teenagers. The room can also be booked for 4 adults—however, we recommend the room for families with 2 adults and up to 2 children. The rooms are located on the valley side and offer a magnificent view of the Bernese Alps. This maisonette is equipped with a shower/WC, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi.
Kulm Suite
Our spacious Kulm Suite offers plenty of room and is therefore ideal for families or small groups. With a floor space of 43 m², two separate bedrooms, and a spacious bathroom, it can accommodate up to 5 people in comfort and tranquillity. The first bedroom is furnished with twin beds (180 x 200 cm). The second bedroom is accessible via a connecting door and provides a twin bed (180 x 200 cm) plus a single bed (90 x 200 cm). The suite faces the valley and offers a magnificent view of the Oberland Alps. This suite is equipped with a shower/WC, a flat-screen TV and free WiFi.
Important information about your stay with us on the Brünig
- Check-in on the day of arrival between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
If you plan to arrive later, please let us know so that we can organise the self-check-in for you. - On the day of departure, the rented room is at your disposal until 11 a.m.
- Our hotel guests can park free of charge directly beside the guesthouse.
- 3 universal charging stations for electric vehicles available, use is free of charge.
- Bycicles can be safely stored in the lockable bicycle storage room.
- Do you need an extra bed for a baby, toddler, or child? Depending on the room type and size, we can provide an additional sleeping accommodation (surcharge CHF 15/night).
- Pet on the road? Fine. Four-legged friends are very welcome and can stay with us for CHF 15 per animal and night.
- All rooms are accessible only by stairs. Please note: there is no lift in our two-stored building.
